Pursuing my true self
If you're on this page, you're probably wondering what the hell this place is or you're looking for a button to use, since I decided not to put it on my exits page for once. (Scroll down.) Anyhoo, this is what we webdesigners call a fansite collective, which is basically a rather embarassing lot of sites we make to (usually) fictional characters and/or celebrities. I generally err on the side of fictional characters.
My name is Chrissy and I'm the chick who runs this joint. No one actually calls me Chrissy in real life (it's just "Chris"), but I hate having to clear up confusion due to such a gender-ambiguous name, so Chrissy it is! Also, any consideration of switching to just "Chris" results in people telling me making the change is too troublesome for them. I'm an 18-year-old ABC living in the United States, where I am a university student hoping to attend medical school or do something worthwhile in my life. I'd like to think those two things aren't mutually exclusive, or else ... what have I been doing all my life? (Building fansites, obviously.)
This domain has been around since August 2007, even though I've been web designing since maybe ... February 2004? It hasn't actually been that long but I like to think I've come a long way since I first started. I can still find my silly middle-schooler ramblings on archive.org. Don't ask to see them. If you're curious, I do not host anyone on subdomains. No, you cannot take my content. No, you cannot take my layouts or CSS or HTML or whatever. Yes, we can link exchange - I'd be happy to! I have lost count of what layouts I've made and what the order is, so this is the newest. I don't know what number it is. It features Sawako Kuronuma from the anime/manga Kimi ni Todoke, which is a rare and recent favorite series of mine. Two images were used: one was found on a scan from AnimePaper and the other from a screencap from the anime. It's very simple and I did little to the images other than put them together (the most time consuming part of making this layout), and I mostly only like this layout for the image, which I'm hoping has a nice spring/summer feel. Everything else is here just because I haven't had a proper domain layout in such a long time and I was hating my hiatus layout. Not that this is even a proper domain layout ... sigh.
